Technical documents, medical machinary texts and technical marketing texts often need to be translated. In this era of globalisation and internationalisation more and more machines and products have to be exported. Laws and directives, such as the Machinery Directive, but also the desire of the companies to present themselves well abroad, are the reasons why companies decide to have their documents translated. Translations, however, should not be underestimated. Specialised native speaker translators must translate the texts and must be familiar with the field and technology of the text.
vb consultech has a network of specialised translators who will be happy to assist you. Verena-Kristin Bickel, co-founder of vb consultech, translates in
some language combinations and coordinates with her team the translations into other languages. However, in order to obtain a good translation, the terminology has to be implemented
carefully. Before each translation project Verena-Kristin Bickel and her team define the terminology and create a glossary that is updated regularly.

OUR SERVICES:
To get a consistent translation, you need a good source text. You need to define the terminology in both the source and target languages. For this reason, the first step is the analysis of the existing documentation and the creation of a list of the existing documentation. In the second step we define rules for the creation of terms and a workflow to follow. Thanks to these rules you will be able to define your terms and write texts consistently. We also define the prohibited terms together. After defining the terms, they are localised into the other languages, in order to have consistent translations as well.

HMI LOCALISATION
OUR SERVICES:
Most machines have a software-machine interface. These are commands and keys that must be localised correctly to ensure the correct use of the machine. The translator must pay attention to the length, terminology and message to pass on. At the end of the translation the document must be brought back to a format that can be imported dierectly to the machine without any errors.
